No where does Scripture teach Christians shall escape tribulation. In fact it says just the opposite! (Acts 14:22) Yes, we certainly know and can take comfort that by God's grace we will be going to a better place when we in fact do die, but what about Christ's command that His disciples are to be "the salt of the earth"? Do we not have even the slightest responsibility to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16) we are given and continue to be that "salt" of which Christ spoke, (Matthew 5:13) especially in the potential situation of societal breakdown/collapse, a society 'without rule of law'?
What if God ordains that you survive the initial societal collapse event? Should you not be prepared for that eventuality? (Luke 22:36). Instead of maintaining a selfish complacent attitude, why are not more Christians prepared or getting prepared, so they might carry on the Great Commission, if by God's wisdom and grace they are spared death? (Matthew 28:18-20) Just something to consider. Thank you.
